People talk about this film like it's trash and they're not wrong. The dialogue is atrocious, the effects are cheap, the killer makes no sense. But watch Connor in the final twenty minutes. Watch her face when she realizes no one is coming to save her. That isn't acting. You can't fake that frequency of resignation. She found something on that set that the rest of the cast missed: that surviving isn't the reward. Surviving is the question.
The real location still exists, by the way. The person who owns it understands what happened there better than any director's commentary ever could. Sometimes the best final cut is the one that keeps rolling after everyone else has left the theatre.
