Modern-day London. The city is divided between the Vassari family, one of its oldest crime clans, and the Northside Vipers, a ruthless new-money gang rising through violence and ambition. Between them stands something neither expected: a third force that shouldn't exist.
The Three Powers
Factions of London
One of London's oldest crime dynasties. Their power runs deep through the city's veins—judicial, financial, territorial.
New money, old hunger. The Vipers built their empire through violence and ambition alone. Ruthless, volatile, and growing—they want everything the Vassari have.
Formed from the discarded. Betrayed by their own, left to die, they rebuilt. Unbound by blood or borders, they recruit globally and specialise in what others won't touch.
Rowan
Founder & Leader · The Exiles · Former Vassari Bodyguard
It happened six years ago. He survived what should have been his execution. Left for dead on the cold concrete by the family he had once served and by the woman he loved, Rowan did not break. With two men at his side he rebuilt himself. Every night he swore he would not waste his life on revenge. Instead he would take back what was rightfully his. The man who once loved quietly beneath falling stars was gone. The Rowan who bled that night had become stronger and far smarter.
The Exiles were never born from simple revenge or justice. They became his reckoning, his brothers in everything but blood. He recruits globally from the same pool—people the system threw away. Soldiers, thieves, intelligence operatives, ghosts. Those with nothing left to lose and everything to prove.
What They Do
Specialisations
Extraction
They go where others won't. People, assets, leverage if it needs to be moved out of impossible places, The Exiles move it.
Reclamation
What was taken can be returned. What was buried can surface. The Exiles specialise in recovering what powerful people tried to erase.
Intelligence
They know secrets neither the Vassari nor the Vipers suspect. This is their most valuable currency and their greatest threat.
The City Divided
London's Underworld
The city breathes power through invisible lines. Two established factions hold the map. The Exiles hold something more dangerous—the spaces between and nowhere at all.
Vassari Territory
Deep roots in the entire districts quietly tied to their name through shell companies, inherited estates, and long-standing influence. From private banking institutions to high-end galleries, from political offices to exclusive members’ clubs.
- Financial manipulation and laundering through legitimate fronts
- Control over high-value trade and restricted goods
- influence within legal and enforcement systems
Northside Vipers
Expanding violently from the north. The northern districts of the city belong to them in ways of the: Clubs, trafficking routes, construction fronts, underground venues, back-alley fight rings. The Northside Vipers did not inherit power. They took it.
- Debt collection and enforcement
- Weapons movement and street-level distribution
- Underground fighting circuits
Exile Operations
No fixed ground. They operate globally and vanish. Safe houses appear and dissolve. Their territory is information.
The Contested Grey
The docks, the borderlands, the forgotten districts. Where all three powers brush against each other—and where negotiations are made.
The Operatives
Characters
He was never meant to live past night. A former bodyguard of the Vassari family, Rowan survived betrayal and built something of his own from it. He doesn’t chase what’s his anymore. He simply takes.
Once the right hand of the Vassari family, Andrei walked away the moment loyalty demanded something he wouldn’t become. Now part of The Exiles, he lives by quiet rules, raising his son as single father. He doesn’t lose control. He just decides when it’s no longer necessary.
Rui was built for violence and raised in it, a former fighter of the Northside Vipers who learned early how to survive fast and leave faster. He doesn’t belong anywhere but for reasons he doesn’t understand, he keeps coming back to the same place, the same girl, the same silence. And for the first time, he doesn’t want to run.
We weren't born into this world. We were thrown out of it. That's the difference between us and everyone else.
— Rowan, Founder of The Exiles
