Yo, what's up! My name's Poppy!
I enjoy some good company, and cheering others up. I'd even call myself the heart and soul of this gang! The others even agree! Well, MOST of the time, anyways. More often than not, they'll call me a nuisance when I "go too far," whatever that means! It's one of the many things that upsets me, others examples include being alone, and having to be quiet!
Thankfully, I NEVER get grumpy for long! I'm a simple bird, lotsa things can brighten up my mood in an INSTANT! When I'm not setting up my next prank, you can find me at my treehouse going WILD on my drumset, or at the beach looking for goodies. All sorts of things can wash up on the shores of Golden Island, and I like to keep them. You never know when you would need seventy-four assorted bits of wood, rope, and tin cans!

MY MUSINGS
Here's a fact I made up: Poppy has trouble reading rooms.
My only evidence is her brief character introduction in the books: "The life and soul of the gang or a total goofball, depending on your mood...", suggesting that she still treis to be all loud and comedic no matter what mood the others have; and a line I half-remember from "Stella Runs Away" about Poppy "not knowing when to stop."
It's somewhat of a stretch, but it explains why she's an absolute nuisance at times, like in "The Prankster" or "Rock On" from the animated show, and even makes her a teensy weensy more sympathetic. It also gives her a potential character arc in "The Angry Birds Stella Fan-Rewrite I Keep Telling Myself I'd Do," because otherwise she doesn't have much going for her beyond being the comic relief.
Plus it gives me an excuse to maim one of my blorbos with my Autism Rays.
Speaking of complete stretches for the sake of projection:
Poppy might also have ADHD or something.

PRACTICAL JOKER - "Poppy's wild, mischievous and crazy as a coconut! She lives life in the fast lane and is the group's comedian - she loves playing pranks to make the other birds laugh. She's definitely an attention seeker and the group sometimes loses their patience with her if she takes her practical jokes too far (like the time she dressed Dahlia up as a pig when she was sleeping)."
DRUMROLL PLEASE - "Poppy doesn't really like being alone and always wants someone around to talk to because she really likes the sound of her own voice! As the musician of the flock, she's a highly skilled percussionist and her trademark is banging away on any object with her drumsticks to create bangin' beats."
