Shaman Pig is as awesome as he is mysterious, and more spooky mythical Golden Island stuff is neat, but for whatever reason I always feel compelled to just skip this episode entirely on rewatches? I don't know why this is, no other episode has made me feel this way, even the ones that I consider the weakest. Perhaps it's because this is a halloween episode, and therefore kinda cut off from the rest of the series' "normal" episodes in some way? Not that I'd consider this episode "non-canon", Shaman Pig definitely fits on Golden Island, and I'd even say it needs more spooky shit like him.
This is also the first appearance of the purple-and-yellow striped monsters, simply named "Daddy Monster" and "Baby Monster". They only appear for a few seconds in the opening shot here, but they will be more important later on.
...and that's about all I have to say about this episode, unfortunately. We don't see enough of Shaman Pig to be able to speculate much without essentially just inventing a whole new OC. That's probably why I think he's cool, he's basically a blank canvas, without being TOO blank.
Dahlia and Handsome Pig also make out sloppy style but that's not important.
