Rock On!

The little display of continuity in this episode was somewhat of a big deal to me when I watched this show for the first time as a kid.

Sure, I was no stranger to shows having continuity, but Angry Birds was. Try as he might, King Pig will never get to eat the eggs, but the birds can never truly defeat the pigs either; Pig City gets wiped clean off the map several times yet it stands tall again the moment the camera turns off (although this could be explained by the pigs' work ethics).
In addition, nothing that happens in a Piggy Tale episode will ever be relevant to future ones. (The sole exception being the suprisingly somber final episode of season 1)

Angry Birds Stella was certainly more interesting than what came before, with a bird being the villain and everything, but I was still a little skeptical as a kid. This is still Angry Birds, after all. Were they REALLY going let Gale get the Golden Egg? Were they REALLY going let Stella reunite with Gale?

Yes, episode one does show Gale turning and staying evil, but she was already shown to be the villain in the games, and even the very intro of the show. If anything, the ending of episode 1 is just things returning to status quo, like every episode from other Angry Birds shows.

Then this episode came around, and something as insignificant as Poppy's gong being broken stayed consistent, and that's when I realized "Oh shit, they're serious!" and then I was hooked. Forever.

As for the rest of the episode, I don't have much to say. It's neat to see the gang do something together, and to see a bit of Dahlia in action!

What's not neat is Poppy forgeting her lesson immediately after learning it. I don't get why they felt the need to reset her character at the end, it's not like Poppy being more considerate of others is something that threatens the status quo. Even then, the beginning of this same episode showed that Angry Birds Stella's got continuity! Why care about the status quo so much?
