While hiking, Stella and Gale disagree about the best route, and Gale decides to go it alone. However, as fate would have it, she ends up going in a much different direction. What will she find there?
A pretty good beginning to the show. We don't get a good introduction to most of the cast, because there's only so much you can do in just 6 minutes with no dialogue, but we do get to know the two most important birds: Stella and Gale. It even gives us a good tour through the main setting: Golden Island! It's not as big as Piggy Island in Angry Birds Toons, but it does make up for it with some VERY pretty backgrounds!

This very first episode even ends with a downer ending, signifying that Angry Birds Stella will not be your typical Angry Birds show!
Although, I do wish we got to spend a bit more time with Gale pre-betrayal, maybe through flashbacks or whatever; show the positive side of her that made her friends continue to stick around with her despite her bursts of arrogance, and allowed her to be best friends(and maybe more) with Stella, so we'd understand Stella's heartbreak after seeing the ugly side of Gale get inflated, with the little quirks you had to deal with to enjoy Gale becoming all she is, and what image she still clings onto, even when most of her friends have already given up on Gale.
Because as it stands, Gale's kinda just comically evil. She's vain from the very beginning, doesn't hesitate to bugger off to live on a giant volcano, and proceeds to actively reject any chance at redemption she receives afterwards; Her good side never really gets a chance to shine, the only real evidence that she does have one are the few times she smiled for the camera in the past, and the occasional second of regret that she immediately brushes aside.
I know this is a kid's show, and simple villains are a staple of those, but they're clearly trying to be more ambitious story-wise with Angry Birds Stella, so it's quite weird that the writers are seemingly afraid to make Gale a complex character.
