Personal Review:
Gonna be honest, not a fan of this book. Not as in "I like this book the least out of all of them," but as in "I actually dislike this book."
It probably sounds silly for me to be all "Oh, this book is NOT up to MY STANDARDS!" about a book for literal children, and it absolutely is silly, but the thing is, I was able to read the rest of the Angry Birds Stella Diaries series without much internal conflict, whilst I basically had to force myself to finish this book. And when I reread all the books a while ago in order to write these reviews, I straight up couldn't get myself to read half of this book again. (partially because I now know what the average quality of these books are after reading all of them, and know how poorly this compares to all the other entries)
I really can't pinpoint why I dislike this entry so much, not helped by the fact that I couldn't be bothered to analyze it further, but in general, even though there's nothing explicitly wrong with the writing, the way the birds were characterized and the vocabulary they use just all feels a little off, especially in comparison to future entries in this series.
The writing also feels especially dumbed down and juvenile in comparison to, again, the rest of the series, like it's targeting a much younger demographic than future entries (Which are still meant for children, but you get my point). I know "juvenile" is a stupid ass complaint to have about a book meant for literal juveniles, but take your time to read this book, and then another entry (I would recommend Willow's book, wink wink nudge nudge), and you'd understand what I'm talking about.
