This book did disappoint me a little. I went in hoping there was some remnant of the scrapped Gale comic, but the actual book didn't "take closer look on[sic] Gale’s motivations" , and showed no signs of her being "much more than a bird with expensive taste". What little internal conflicts she has are all quickly brushed aside in a sentence or two.

I guess she did start caring for Handsome Pig a bit when he injured himself in the middle of the book, but that's about it. She immediately goes back to being a dick to her loyal subjects. In fact, no character development happens at all in this book. Gale gains nothing, loses nothing, and stayed exactly the same as she was in the beginning. All the other characters at least learns some kind of stock moral lesson, but Gale's not even allowed to do that! Once again, Gale gets hit the hardest by the fact that Angry Birds Stella characters are not allowed to grow and change in substantial ways, despite the fact that she's supposed to be the most complex of the cast!

Not saying you'd dislike this book too, the writing's pretty harmless, we even get to see Gale be all cunning and scheming, and there's some kinda message about making the best out of a failure(Which everyone but the main character learns, amusingly).
It just simply doesn't have what I would hope for in a Gale-centric story.
