SRB2 Staircase

I was playing SRB2, right? I was running up a spiral staircase as Sonic, being chased by another Sonic whose palette was entirely grayscaled. This grayscale had insanely fast speed, acceleration, jump height, and was voiced by Infinite. The moment you touched him you would die and lose a life, but I was fooling around in srb2, playing God and noclipping to see if he would chase me out of bounds.
Turns out, when you're standing on the death pit the grayscale would fall to his death, screaming. But after a short period of time he would jump out from the pit and land on the nearest bit of ground, and all of this was while a midi-flipped Castle Eggman zone 2 was playing.
What's strange is that whenever I turned super as sonic, he had a lime palette instead of yellow.
I swear I tasted a bit of lime when that happened.
