There are many recordings above average or better on this tour, and this is another one. Clear but distant, all instruments come through, and the vocals are up in the mix. The sound is concentrated at the top end. Three Card Trick cuts out the first side.

Hara Arena was a 5,500-seat multi-purpose arena located in the Dayton, Ohio suburb of Trotwood. The facility began as a ballroom in 1956, added an arena in 1964 and grew to a six-building complex which closed in August 2016.

On the night of May 27 & 28th, 2019, the property suffered extensive damage when tornadoes and severe storms moved through the area. The roof and sides of the structure were blown off in several places.

In October 2019, it was reported the existing facility would not be able to be salvaged due to the already existing damage having been compounded by the tornado.

In March 2020, it was announced the property had been rezoned and that demolition was likely to start soon.

    The Clash - Toronto Bus Interview April 1984

    Joe Strummer interviewed by Lisa Robinson for WNYC?

    This 2-part interview presents polar extremes of Joe Strummer. The first part most likely takes place in late 1983, after Mick Jones left the band but before the new Clash line-up started touring together. The majority of this segment involves Strummer heatedly discussing all the reasons Jones was fired. He then goes on to talk animatedly about the new incarnation of the band and how everyone in America is on drugs.

    In the second part of the interview, recorded in the beginning of 1984, Strummer sounds melancholy and exhausted. However, with the departure of Mick Jones from The Clash being old news by this point, Lisa Robinson is able to steer the questioning towards what Strummer makes of performing, success, and his music.

    I saw The Clash at Bonds - excellent
    Facebook page - The Clash played a series of 17 concerts at Bond's Casino in New York City in May and June of 1981 in support of their album Sandinista!.
