Supporting The Sex Pistols
No known recording
1976/77 Julian Temple's early footage 18hrs
Known to contain several concerts including The Roxy 1 Jan 1977 and Harlesden plus Rehearsals footageJulian Temples 1976 footage 18 hours - included Roxy/Anarchy Tour/Harlesden/Rainbow - only the footage that was used in the film eventually got digitised because it was shot on an obscure format that does exist anymore and so it cost a fortune to put onto tape.
This gig at Dundee's Caird Hall never actually took place, although local record shop, Groucho's, still sells replica posters of the gig.
The gig was moved to Dundee College of Technology Student's Union also known as the Bowling Alley. I was too young to get into these premises at the time, although a couple of years later spoke to different punters who described the same incident. One, Gary, winessed Johnny Rotten spending most of their set as far back from the audience as he could get before the speaker stack collapsed on someone. The other person was the girl the speakers fell on - she got a broken arm.
Did you go? What do you remember?

Dundee, the Sex Pistols and the Filth and the Fury.
October 11, 2016; John Robertson
The story in Dundee goes that the band were due to play at the Caird Hall that same night and that they had cancelled the gig in order to appear on TV. There are easily obtained facsimile posters for sale that seem to confirm that this was indeed the case. Evidence elsewhere suggests otherwise though.
